An Alternative to Osteotomes
Bone expander kits are an alternative to Osteotomes for the expansion and condensing of the atrophic mandible and maxilla in preparation for dental implant insertions. Expanders are also an alternative to the maxillary sinus elevation technique.
Surgical Trauma Decreased
Expanders are driven into the bone with a ratchet wrench or low speed handpiece. This decreases the surgical trauma of osteotomes. Bone expanders improve the clinical success by improving stability, maintaining bone density and increasing fixation.
What the kit includes
The Bone Expander Kit includes:
5 x bone expanders, a ratchet wrench, a pilot drill, a ratchet wrench extender, a handpiece latch adaptor and a manual knob for finger usage.
The bone expanders have diameters of 2.6mm, 3.0mm, 3.4mm, 3.8mm and 4.3mm, with score lines at 8mm, 10mm, 11.5mm amd 13mm.
The kit is fully autoclavable.
